MISSIONAL COMMUNITY

Missional Community grows out of cell life. We believe that EVERYDAY people are called to be on mission EVERYDAY as they live EVERYDAY stuff. This involves the simple things like just making an ordinary attempt to connect with a neighbor by paying attention to them. It also involves projects that a whole Cell group or even the whole church body can be involved in like Operation Christmas Child. The ultimate goal is to disciple others to become followers of Christ. We see this happening on two levels. On one level we want to serve those who have needs in order to show them the love of Christ. A second level is that we want to get our neighbors involved with us, so they can see how we serve others and be drawn to the Christ we serve.

MISSIONAL COMMUNITY PROJECTS

LCC's cell groups regularly participate in both one-time and long-term outlets to provide education, food and clothing, shelter, and other provisions to those in need in our area. Check out some projects we're currently involved with in the list below and then visit our Missional Community Facebook page  for the most recent news and info.

  • Hilliard Food Pantry

LCC maintains a regular donation station for non-perishable food items that are regularly contributed to the Hilliard food pantry. All donated items help feed the hungry in the local area. Donations may be dropped off at containers located in the church's lobby area any Sunday morning.

  • SON Ministries

Serving Our Neighbors (SON) Ministries is a faith based not for profit which partners with children and families facing the unique challenges of suburban poverty in Hilliard (OH) and beyond. They mobilize life-improving resources and connect families to these resources (some of which we facilitate) and to a network of organizations and people who together strive to help strengthen families & our community. They offer a respect-filled HAND UP to those in need and mobilize the community to Serve Our Neighbor!
